A Simple Recipe for French Toast

4 slices of bread (preferably slightly stale) 2 large eggs 1/2 cup milk 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon Pinch of salt

Ingredients

In a shallow bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and a pinch of salt.

Heat a skillet or griddle over medium heat and add a small amount of butter or use cooking spray to coat the surface.

Dip each slice of bread into the egg mixture, ensuring both sides are evenly coated. Allow any excess mixture to drip off.

Place the coated bread slices on the hot skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and cooked through.

Once cooked, transfer the French toast to a plate and repeat the process with the remaining slices of bread.

Serve the French toast warm with your preferred toppings, such as maple syrup, powdered sugar, fresh fruit, or whipped cream.
