Aaron Jones Hit in Face in Vikings Postgame Scuffle

Aaron Jones, a popular player for the Green Bay Packers, tried to break up a fight after a game on New Year's Eve.

Unfortunately, he accidentally got hit by someone on his own team.

Packers wide receiver Dontayvion Wicks and Minnesota Vikings cornerback Andrew Booth Jr. got into a fight after Green Bay's big win over the Vikings in Minneapolis on Sunday night, December 31.

Some media people shared a video of the fight on social media. After looking closely, it turned out that Wicks accidentally hit Jones in the face, not Booth.

"Jones didn't fight back because Packers' player Dontayvion Wicks accidentally hit him in the face lol," Matt Schneidman of The Athletic shared on X.

According to Christian D'Andrea of For The Win, Jones won't be punished by the NFL for trying to calm down the postgame fight.

Aaron Jones, a running back for the Green Bay Packers, celebrates after they won 33-10 against the Minnesota Vikings in December 2023.

Jones talked about his thinking during the quick meeting, which briefly interrupted the Packers' celebration of their well-deserved win.

Jones said, "I saw one of our players pushing another player during an interaction." I begin to calm down.

Jones had 20 rushes for 120 yards. He also caught a pass for 10 yards in Green Bay's 33-10 win in Minneapolis.

The Packers won and now have a good chance to make it to the playoffs. To make it to the playoffs, Green Bay just needs to beat the Chicago Bears at Lambeau Field next Sunday.

QB Jordan Love told Mike Spofford of Packers.com that the entire team is focused on winning and moving forward.

We know what we're facing and we're working to reach the playoffs.
