Authentic Banana Bread from the Past

Ingredients

 ripe bananas, mashed 2 cups all-purpose flour 1 teaspoon baking soda 1/4 teaspoon salt 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened 1 cup granulated sugar 2 large eggs 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Warm the oven up to 175°F (350°F). Grease a cake pan that's 9x5 inches.

Mix flour, baking soda, and salt together in a bowl with a whisk.

In a different big bowl, beat the butter and sugar together until they are fluffy and light.

Each egg should be added one at a time. After that, the mashed bananas and vanilla extract should be mixed in.

Mix the dry ingredients in slowly, adding yogurt or buttermilk every so often. If you want, you can fold in chopped nuts.

Put the batter into the loaf pan that has been made. Bake for 60 to 70 minutes, or until a toothpick stuck in the middle comes out clean.

Let the banana bread cool for 10 minutes in the pan, then move it to a wire rack to cool all the way through.
