High Protein French Toast

4 slices of whole-grain bread (like whole wheat or multigrain) 4 large eggs or 1 cup of egg whites 1/2 cup of milk (regular or almond milk) 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (if you like) 1-2 tablespoons protein powder (vanilla or no flavor) Cooking spray or butter for cooking

Ingredients

Crack the eggs (or use egg whites) into a bowl. Add milk, vanilla extract (if using), and protein powder. Mix them all together well.

Mix the Batter:

Dip each slice of bread into the egg mixture, making sure both sides get wet. Let the bread soak for a few seconds.

Soak the Bread:

Heat a non-stick pan or griddle on medium heat and put some cooking spray or a bit of butter on it.

Put the soaked bread slices on the pan and cook each side for about 2-3 minutes until they turn golden brown.
