The oven should be preheated to 350°F, or 175°C. Get a baking dish that's 9 by 13 inches greased.

Chopped nuts, sugar, and ground cinnamon make up the filling; combine all ingredients in a bowl.

To keep the phyllo dough from drying out, unroll it and sandwich it between two wet towels.

Pour melted butter into the baking dish and spread it along the bottom.

Brush a single sheet of phyllo dough with butter and set it in the dish. Continue by stacking multiple additional sheets.

You can use up the nut mixture by stacking phyllo sheets and smearing them with butter, then adding a layer of nuts in between each layer.

Cut the phyllo layers into squares or diamonds using a sharp knife before baking.
